Offered for your consideration is a vintage
ZEBRA
POSI-GRIP
M-1600
0.5mm mechanical pencil
, made in Japan c.1990. This repeating pencil has a metal mechanism covered by matte-finished black plastic barrel, polished eraser cap/tip end, and steel clip. It features the logo of
TWA
which ceased their flying operations about 20 years ago.
So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this collectible ZEBRA pencil should become yours.
This POSI-GRIP M-1600 pencil is in clean, excellent condition. It measures 5½” long x just under ⅜” at thickest. There are no dings, cracks, scratches, or anything on the barrel or eraser cover, just some practically invisible marks from use over the years. Plus, the clip rests firmly on the barrel with no gap noted and the barrel script enamel is in great shape as well with just a little fading. Overall, this ZEBRA pencil is quite nicely preserved.
Most importantly, the pencil works perfectly. Depressing the clicker extends the lead and retraction, when desired, is accomplished manually (while holding the clicker depressed). And, the original eraser is present and shows no use.
Lastly, I’m including a partially full container of
CASTELL XF
0.5mm lead for the new owner’s convenience and will package the pencil
very
securely for safe shipping.
