About this Item:
We are pleased to offer this antique cast iron toy manufactured in the1930’s by the HUBLEY MFG. CO. This toy is commonly referred to as the HUBLEY No.7 boat tail racer. It displays vey well with the number “7” cast on both sides of the hood, that also has simulated exhaust pipes on each side. The driver is nickel-plated and has HUBLEY casting marks on the underside. The car is in good condition with paint loss from play and age over the past 8 decades. We suspect that the rear tires have been replaced sometime in the past as they are slightly larger than the front tires. The underside of the car is clearly marked “HUBLEY”, and additionally there are some numbers that we can’t quite make out. The car measures about 5-1/8” in length.
