Vintage 1920s Sheaffer Gold Filled Mechanical Pencil

Description

Circa 1920s Sheaffer mechanical pencil, in gold fill. Propel, Repel, Expel lead by twisting the barrel.
Good condition and works perfectly. Brassing limited to the cap rim. The clip is straight and tight and clip and barrel has good Sheaffer'S imprints. The engine turned pattern is crisp. Cap is round but has three small dings on the top. One ding on the barrel near the clip. No initials or monograms. Smooth mechanism. This pencil is just over 4 1/2" long.
The pencil takes .046" thick lead,which is readily available on eBay, or from Autopoint, Inc.
Sheaffer pencils are just plain bullet-proof, and almost every one you find will work perfectly, even models such as this which are about 100 years old. Sheaffer quality through and through.
