    Description

    Very nice hard to find  Autopoint mechanical pencil. This is vintage was acquired at estate sale with lots of other pencils from 1920-40. I believe this fits the early timeline. If someone knows otherwise, let me know. I try to give all the info I have. I’m selling this as I found it, looks to be in very good condition for its age. Obvious signs of wear on top and clip probably from hand oils. Can probably be restored to almost new condition and cleaned up. I will leave this for the new owner. Feels great on the hand. Thicker than your typical pencil. May be Bakelite but not 100% sure. I’m basing this on some research that Bakelite manufacturing held an interest in Auopoint from 1920-1940. Cap reads “Chicago Autopoint (Autopoint is in script) USA paid and pats pend”. Please see all pictures. If you need more just ask! Happy to send!
