KilgoreFire Cracker Cannon
With 2 New Soft Rubber Balls
Firecracker Shoots Balls ~ Cast Iron Toy
This cast iron cannon is a two piece, base and barrel, with two upside down U springs clamping the two units together but allows for rotation to adjust the firing angle. It is about 5 inches long and 3 inches high. The rear of the barrel says Fire Cracker Cannon, with the old Kilgore Logo “Circle K” in the center.
There is an opening in the breach of the barrel to insert a standard 1 ½ inch fire cracker. It holds a 1 ¼ inch rubber ball (2 included). You insert a fire cracker into the breach hole, tamp the ball into the barrel (it fits snugly), adjust the up / down angle you want to fire it at, and light the fuse.
It will blast a rubber ball up to 100 feet! It is all cast iron except the springs which are steel. It appears to never have been painted. We bought a small box of these and some Kilgore Fire Cracker Mortars, individually wrapped in old oil paper at an estate auction near Columbus Ohio in 1998. Never been used. Minor surface rust spots as seen in photo, otherwise, Perfect Condition!
The old balls that we got with them were warped, cracked, old rubber, so we had a rubber ball company make us a batch of new rubber balls! We include 2 brand new soft red rubber balls that fit perfectly. You get the cannon and 2 new red rubber balls. Supply your own firecracker and you are ready to blow! Buyer pays for 2 Lb. Priority mailing depending on Zip Code.
No Fire Crackers Included ~ Will Not Shoot Hard Objects
