Description

**** RAW ALUMINUM PENCIL BODY ****
This is a handmade 2mm Throw Back Series Mechanical Pencil made by Placid Crafts. This series has all the features you look for in a heavy lead pencil. It features a top click lead advance, replaceable eraser, built in lead sharpener, sturdy pocket clip, and a hex grip. The hardware on this pencil is 24ct. Gold Plated, and the body is raw Aluminum with no Lacquer, or coating at all and will patina with age to take on the antique look that is so popular right now.  The aluminum rod is cut to length, drilled out and a brass tube glued in. From there it is turned in a metal lathe to shape and size then sanded and shined. The pencil is 6" long with the lead out, ready to write. I would consider this a standard to larger diameter pencil because the pen body is .460. The 24ct. Gold Plate hardware looks great against the aluminum body. This pencil also comes with two tubes of 2mm X 3-1/2" leads with five leads in each tube. We are also adding a five pack of white refill erasers. Additional refill packs are available in our eBay store. Make no mistake, this pencil is very unique. It has no lacquer, sealer, or acrylic covering. This pencil will patina as raw unprotected aluminum will. New as it is, it is shiny but it turns darker as it ages and that is the theme of this series.  /   #192
