Antique Toy Girard four horse two wagon.
This is an old Girard Toy if you look at each wagon closely you can see the Girard stamp in the bed of both wagons. There is small paint loss where the first team is hitched (slight bend over the years). Four horse team pulling two wagons, separates into five parts ( pictured).
It is about 25” in total length
This is a very sturdy toy with a bit of weight. Fits together nicely but have to get the correct wagon in first spot. Have sold a few of these Girard two horse teams previously, as I downsize put out a few of better items.
Interesting note is Louis Marx who started Marx Toys firsts began working at Girard Model Works in the early 20’s. From those early days there he did quite well for himself.
