    Description

This motorcycle was completely disassembled and fully restored by my father last summer. Since the restoration, it has been started a couple of times to make sure it runs and rides well; and to cure the paint on the exhaust. The motor was disassembled completely and rebuilt; all bearings, gaskets, seals and O-rings were replaced. As is common on the JT1, the kick start shaft was bad, so that was replaced too. The cylinder was bored 0.020” over, with new piston and rings installed. While the original clutch plates were ok, it was decided to install new plates, just to be safe. All the cases and side covers were cleaned, and the side covers sprayed with color matched silver. For paint, all of the parts on the bike that are black were powered coated, while the gas tank and fenders were painted with PPG Deltron black and competition yellow from MarblesMotors. All of the original chrome pieces on the motorcycle were re-chromed. The spokes were re-plated, with the hubs being cleaned/polished. New decals/stickers for the rear fender, oil tank, fuel tank, and the VIN sticker. The tires were replaced with new universals of the same size. The sale of the motorcycle also includes the owner’s manual; as well as tool kit, though it is missing one tool that we were unable to locate an original for. While this motorcycle is nearly all original, the throttle cable, clutch cable, and tank emblems are re-pop pieces. Here is a youtube video I made for the bike. Towards the end of the video you can hear it run and see it driving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM3w2RHJTZw&t=8sIf you have any questions feel free to e-mail.Thanks!
